- I have the same problem. When I first attempt to dial after starting
- Windows 3.1, I get the " in use by other telephony" message. The only
- work around I've found is to go into the properties option of the
- dialer and have it re-detect my modem (sometimes more than once).

- Last fall, Netscape support thought the problem might be the com
- driver but it wasn't.

- I'm using the Shiva dialer that came with Netcape P.E. on a 386dx40
- and a USRobotics Sportster 28.8 modem.
