  35.     I have the same problem.  When I first attempt to dial after starting
  36. Windows 3.1, I get the " in use by other telephony" message.  The only
  37. work around I've found is to go into the properties option of the
  38. dialer and have it re-detect my modem (sometimes more than once).

  40.     Last fall, Netscape support thought the problem might be the com
  41. driver but it wasn't.

  43.     I'm using the Shiva dialer that came with Netcape P.E. on a 386dx40
  44. and  a USRobotics Sportster 28.8 modem.
